University of Virginia
I am a sixth-year doctoral candidate in Social Psychology at the University of Virginia, working primarily with Tim Wilson. This summer I will be starting as a post-doc at Ohio State University. I study boredom, interest, and why some thoughts are more engaging than others. I'm particularly interested in applying our model of boredom to the experience of thinking, and understanding when and why we enjoy (or do not enjoy!) our own thoughts. I want to understand what boredom is, why we experience it, and what happens when we do.
